Spring and Fall Cleanup

Spring cleanups start in March.
Services include:

Bed edging
Pruning as necessary-Knockout roses and some hydrangeas are best pruned back in early spring
Cutting back native grasses and liriope left over winter
Cleaning up leaves and debris
Application of pre-emergent herbicide in beds to reduce annual weed pressure

Top Dressing your lawn with compost after core aeration is a great way to improve your soil! Compost also significantly improves the success rate of seed. Early Fall (August/September) is the best time of year to add compost and seed. This has been our most successful way to renovate a poorly performing lawn. After aeration, slice seeding, and top dressing with compost, your lawn will look beat up...but only for a short time! 4-6 weeks later, reality sets in as the new seed germinates and the existing turf turns a dark green. We get more amazement out of this change than almost any other service we provide.
